About Chief Rainmakerre
Human-Led Strategy. AI-Powered Systems. Measurable Growth.
Chief Rainmaker helps growing companies stop chasing random marketing tactics and start building outcome systems that attract leads, convert customers, and make growth more predictable in the AI age.
Every business has someone — officially or unofficially — who carries the weight of growth.
The title changes from company to company.
Sometimes it's the CEO. Sometimes it's Sales, Marketing, Business Development, Revenue, Growth, CMO, or CRO. But underneath all the titles and org charts, the responsibility is the same: someone has to bring new life into the business.
That is what a Chief Rainmaker does.
Rain is not a cute metaphor. Rain is new business. New leads. New customers. New sales. New cash flow. New opportunities. New momentum. It is the lifeblood that keeps a company alive, moving, hiring, expanding, and competing. Without rain, even a great company starts to dry up. With the right systems in place, growth stops feeling like luck and starts becoming something you can create, measure, and improve.
Chief Rainmaker was built around that responsibility.
Not random marketing. Not disconnected campaigns. Not another pile of tools pretending to be strategy. A real Chief Rainmaker understands how to connect positioning, attention, trust, offers, follow-up, conversion, data, and customer acquisition into a system that produces measurable outcomes.
Because every company needs rain.
And if your company doesn't already have someone who knows how to build the systems that make it rain, it may be time to bring one in.

MEET GIL ORTEGA
The CHIEF RAINMAKER
Chief Rainmaker was founded by Gil Ortega — entrepreneur, marketing strategist, and customer acquisition specialist.
Gil has worked across direct sales, digital marketing, e-commerce, lead generation, affiliate marketing, data-driven advertising, and performance-based growth models. He has built companies from scratch, scaled them through systems, and sold them. He has also watched companies with genuinely great products fail quietly because nobody built the systems to grow them.
That gap — between great product and predictable growth — is the problem Chief Rainmaker was built to close.
Before "AI-powered marketing" became the phrase of the week, Gil was already building systems around a simple idea: find the right audience, create the right offer, deliver real value, measure what works, scale what produces results.
Along the way, that approach produced some memorable chapters. A Southern California event production company that grew from a high school side hustle into one of the region's largest independent promoters, putting names like Snoop Dogg, Janet Jackson, Sheryl Crow, and Sublime on stage. A 3D animation software startup that grew from 67 users to 40,000 in nine months through a distribution strategy that turned magazine cover CDs into a customer acquisition engine. A customer acquisition company called Leads to Wealth that started with fifty dollars and scaled to more than $2 million per month before a seven-figure exit.
And then a decade spent building marketing data infrastructure — identity resolution platforms, audience engineering systems, real-time behavioral targeting, and unified campaign orchestration — deployed with fifty-plus digital agencies and enterprise brands including ZEISS, LendingTree, and WalMart.
The real lesson from all of it is straightforward:
Marketing changes. Human behavior doesn't.
The tools evolve. The platforms shift. The dashboards get prettier. The acronyms multiply like rabbits in a webinar funnel. But companies still need the same fundamentals: clear positioning, a strong offer, trusted proof, consistent follow-up, smart systems, and a measurable path from attention to revenue.
That is the experience behind Chief Rainmaker.
